Graduate route क्या है?
Graduate route एक UK visa है जो आपको degree पूरी करने के बाद UK में रहने और काम करने देता है। Job offer की कोई ज़रूरत नहीं और कोई minimum salary नहीं — आप किसी भी job में, किसी भी employer के साथ, या self-employed होकर काम कर सकते हैं।

कौन eligible है?
Apply करने के लिए आपको ये conditions पूरी करनी होंगी:
- UK में कोई eligible degree या qualification पूरी की हो
- Degree award होने के समय Student visa (या Tier 4 General visa) पर रहे हों
- Physically UK में पढ़ाई की हो — overseas से distance learning नहीं चलेगा

Fees कितनी होती हैं?
Apply करते समय दो payments करनी होती हैं:
Application fee: £937
Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS): £1,035 प्रति वर्ष

Graduate visa पर क्या कर सकते हैं?
Graduate route काफी flexible है। आप:
- किसी भी job में किसी भी salary पर काम कर सकते हैं
- Home Office को बताए बिना job या employer बदल सकते हैं
- Self-employed या freelance हो सकते हैं
- साथ-साथ पढ़ाई भी कर सकते हैं
नहीं कर सकते:
- Public funds (benefits, housing benefit, Universal Credit) claim करना
- Graduate visa extend या renew करना — यह एक बार use होने वाला visa है

कब और कैसे apply करें
Degree officially award होने के बाद आप UK के अंदर से apply कर सकते हैं। "Official award" का मतलब है university का formal confirmation — सिर्फ result नहीं।
Apply करते समय आपके पास valid Student visa होना ज़रूरी है। अगर Student visa expire हो गया है, तो apply नहीं कर सकते — देरी मत करें।
Graduate route entry clearance visa नहीं है। UK छोड़ने के बाद overseas से apply नहीं किया जा सकता।
Applications Graduate route official page पर online होती हैं। आपको passport, current visa details, और university का degree confirmation चाहिए होगा। Home Office का standard processing time 8 weeks है, लेकिन अक्सर पहले भी decision आ जाता है।
Skilled Worker visa पर कैसे switch करें
Graduate route एक stepping stone है, destination नहीं। UK में लंबे समय तक रहना है, तो visa expire होने से पहले कोई और route लेना होगा — सबसे common है Skilled Worker visa।
SkilledWorker के लिए ये ज़रूरी है:
- Sponsor licence रखने वाले UK employer का job offer
- Role का skill threshold पूरा करना (RQF Level 3 या उससे ऊपर)
- Minimum salary — ज़्यादातर roles के लिए £38,700 (April 2024 rate), या आपके occupation का going rate, जो भी ज़्यादा हो; कुछ shortage occupations में कम limit है
- Graduate visa expire होने से पहले apply करना
Graduate route के years settlement के लिए required 5 years continuous UK residence में count नहीं होते। वो clock Skilled Worker जैसे qualifying route पर switch करने से शुरू होती है।
